For more than seventeen years, I have had the privilege of working across India's Skill Development, Livelihood, Apprenticeship, Education and CSR ecosystem. Over the years, I learned one important lesson: true development cannot be measured by targets achieved or projects completed. Its real value lies in the positive change it creates in people's lives.
During my work on a CSR initiative in Barmer, Rajasthan, a solar power system was installed in a Government primary school where irregular electricity affected classrooms, drinking water and mid-day meals. After the system was installed, the change was visible. A young student said,
That moment strengthened my belief that meaningful impact is reflected not only in numbers, but in confidence, dignity, opportunity and transformed lives.
ShyamSharanam Skills & Livelihoods Foundation was established from this belief.
